We will have water available but in an effort to host a more sustainable event, we will NOT be providing paper or plastic cups. We hope to introduce additional sustainable measures in the future!
Being kind costs nothing.
We welcome dancers of all backgrounds and abilities. There will be no tolerance for harassment. Attendees asked to leave the event due to poor conduct will not be refunded.
The event will be mask optional. We will have masks available throughout. Please consider bringing a mask with you to wear with dancers who prefer a masked partner.
We will update our COVID policy as needed and in accordance with the CDC, State, and City guidelines.

Generally, you are attending the event at your own risk. We intend to send everyone home happy, healthy, and a little swung-over.
Take a look at our participation waiver. All attendees agree to the waiver but purchasing a ticket and participating in the event.
Ariel Lacey (they/them) currently hails from Kansas City, MO. (No, not Kansas!) Though they’ve been an athlete their whole life, they only started dancing in 2018. Now they are the Safety and Community Outreach Director at Kansas City Swingout, where they work to create an equitable and comfortable space for dancers of all identities.
During the weekend of Dance MO Bal and for a time afterwards, you will be able to find an annoymus form here to submit any concerns you may have. Only Airel will have access to those responses.
